Virtualization System Engineer

• As a System Engineer you will help provide third-line support for Cegeka's private cloud platforms.
• You participate in the design of the infrastructure.
• You ensure that high availability of the applications and services is guaranteed.
• You will help develop new platforms and come into contact with new technologies such as VMWare, Oracle, etc.
• Together with your colleagues, you automate these platforms.
• You ensure that the documentation, instructions, procedures & knowledge are kept up-to-date.
• You provide round-the-clock permanence on a rotating basis.

• We don't have to explain virtualization software to you. Knowledge of VMware ESX(i) is a must.
• You have knowledge of both Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
• You have insight and knowledge of general ICT infrastructure, such as:
• Object oriented programming
• Network management
• SAN and NAS technologies
• High availability (clustering -, replication -, snapshot -, backup technology)
• Experience with architectural principles, management concepts and the preparation of technical/functional documentation and infrastructure blueprints.
• You preferably have a bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent through experience.
• You speak Dutch and have a good technical knowledge of English.
