Splunk Platform Engineer

• As a Splunk engineer, you will maintain the Splunk data/event platform for various customer teams, the Security team, and different delivery teams.
• You will be responsible for onboarding new data sources (Windows, Linux, Azure, SQL, etc.) and ensure proper organization, sorting, and parsing of the data. Standards and performance are crucial in this process.
• Providing 2nd and 3rd line support to users, you will build expertise in SPLUNK and event management, gaining exposure to security and various data center technologies.
• You will assist in building searches, reports, dashboards, apps, and alerts in Splunk.
• You will serve as the technical specialist for different Splunk modules. Your active involvement in improvement projects will have an impact on tomorrow's technical achievements.

• You have a thorough knowledge of operating systems such as Linux (Red Hat), Windows, Windows Server, …
• You know of TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, Loadbalancing,
• Experoence with Azure Cloud, VMware, Microsoft365, IT Security or monitoring in general is a plus.
• basic experience with SPLUNK is an asset, not a must
• By preference you have knowledge of Ansible, PowerShell, Python or another programming language
• You know general IT-principles such as ITIL
• You're critical, conscientiousness is imortant to you.
• You can work independantly, take ownership and work result oriented
• JYou're fluent in English
