Gdzie można znaleźć dostępne oferty pracy?

Most of the jobs on offer are

* to be filled by skilled workers (with vocational qualifications) and unskilled workers (in construction, for general unskilled        work, in tourism, etc.).

* For example, there are also job offers as construction workers, electricians, bricklayers, carpenters or joiners all over Austria.

* Despite the Covid 19 crisis in 2021, there is a strong demand for unskilled and skilled workers in tourism and hospitality. Relevant work experience and flexibility are required or desirable for all vacancies in this field.

* Sales staff in the food industry and other sales staff are also in demand. In wholesale and retail, the number of part-time workers continues to increase.

* In technical occupations, technicians with higher qualifications in data processing, construction, business and mechanical engineering are most sought after.

* Vacancies exist for academically trained graduate engineers in the fields of mechanical engineering

Gdzie można znaleźć dostępnych pracowników?

Most jobs are filled by skilled workers (with vocational qualifications) and unskilled workers (in construction, for general unskilled work, in tourism, etc.).

Sales staff in the food industry and other sales staff are also in demand. In wholesale and retail, the number of part-time workers continues to increase.

In the technical professions, technicians with higher qualifications are especially sought after.

Vacancies exist for academically trained graduate engineers in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering.

With tourism occupations (hoteliers, managers, waiters, restaurant cooks, assistant cooks, dishwashers, buffet and bar staff, housekeeping staff, caretakers, porters and security staff, travel and tourism specialists) you also have good job offers in Austria.

Unemployment is highest among people with compulsory education as their highest educational qualification, followed by people with a vocational qualification.

In the health sector, medical professionals, unskilled health workers, pharmacists and pharmaceutical chemists as well as other medical-technical professionals are looking for suitable job offers.

In addition to the special situation caused by the Covid 19 crisis, which has also led to unemployment among skilled workers in some sectors, people with rather low qualifications, little work experience and significant placement barriers (lack of soft skills, social problems, physical or mental limitations, etc.) and lack of expertise have a particularly high risk of being long-term unemployed.

This also applies to people (e.g. in wholesale, retail, tourism) who, in addition to lacking qualifications, are restricted in their mobility and flexibility, e.g. due to childcare obligations.

Krótki przegląd rynku pracy:

The coronavirus crisis led to an overall increase in the number of people in employment in 2020, but to a decrease in the number of foreign workers, which also affected EU/EEA citizens and Swiss nationals.

In 2021, an average of 11 624 persons were registered as unemployed (2 193 persons less than in the previous year). The unemployment rate in 2021 was 6.5% (-1.2% compared to the previous year) and thus below the Austrian average (8%).

The unemployment rate for young people (up to 25 years) in 2021 again decreased compared to the previous year and is only 5.7% in 2021 (-2% compared to the previous year), while the unemployment rate for older unemployed people (55+) is 8.1% (both calculated nationally) and thus below the Austrian average (10.6%).

The essential soft skills in almost all fields include social and personal competences such as communication skills, customer orientation, flexibility, resilience, willingness to learn and intercultural competence (working in international teams) as well as very good English and foreign language skills.

In the health sector, familiarity with medical information systems is important, as is experience with quality management, project management and health promotion and care. In addition to psychological expertise, frustration tolerance and communication skills are particularly in demand.

For the electronics/electrical engineering, telecommunications, information technology and machinery/automotive/metal industries, knowledge of operating systems, application of computer systems, business administration, energy and process engineering, quality management, etc. is essential.

In the construction and wood industry, knowledge of building renovation, waste management, waste disposal and specific IT skills are advantageous. For the office, business, finance and legal sectors, additional technical knowledge is an advantage, as is knowledge of business administration, SAP and e-business.
