Cook in a restaurant is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, including meal preparation, cooking, and plating. They develop recipes, manage inventory, and ensure food quality and safety standards are met. Additionally, chefs may train kitchen staff, create menus, and collaborate with management to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow.

- Knowledge and experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the head chef and other kitchen staff to efficiently prepare meals and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Capacity to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines during busy service periods.
- Flexibility to handle various tasks and adjust to changing kitchen demands, such as modifying recipes or accommodating special dietary needs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
The salary is dependent on work experience and is negotiated with the employer.
