Do you want to be a key driver in ensuring sustainability initiatives are brought to life as you support, drive, and facilitate projects across the organization? Do you want to join an international organization that is ambitious about sustainability across value chain and legal entities? Then we have an exciting opportunity in this newly created role as a Sustainability Specialist.

You will work in close collaboration with the Senior ESG Manager and the newly established Sustainability Team consisting of an ESG Data Specialist and an ESG Analyst. Outside of this, you will collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the organization.

Coordinating and driving progress on ESG and Sustainability activities:
ESG and Sustainability is a continuously evolving area, and you will have a centrally placed role in developing and integrating these activities into value-adding activity. As a Sustainability Specialist, your main responsibility will be to act as an operational lead as you support, drive, and facilitate sustainability and ESG activities across the organization. More specifically you will:
• Drive sustainability activities and initiatives throughout the organization
• Facilitate and coordinate customer audits
• Maintain and optimize the company’s performance on sustainability platforms (e.g. SEDEX)
• Create company-wide ESG policies and procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Support annual Due Diligence and Sustainability report for EUDR, CSRD, and CS3D
• Support Fertin Pharma’s sustainability journey with initiatives and improvements on an ongoing basis

Specialist with good communication skills:
To be successful in this role, we imagine you come from a previous role as a coordinator or a project manager having some previous experience with sustainability initiatives. You might have an educational background as a BA or MA in Business, Social Science, Communications or similar. More importantly, you are passionate about corporate sustainability and ESG.

You take a structured and planning approach as you coordinate and facilitate cross functional operations. With good communication and collaboration skills, you are able to connect with key stakeholders as you balance facilitation and steady progress. As Fertin Pharma is a global organization and stakeholders come from countries around the world, fluency in both written and spoken English is a requirement.
