You make sure that the dredging vessel and dredging equipment are always technically operational. You coordinate the various maintenance and repair works as efficiently as possible. In consultation with the office you determine if the works should be executed by our own technical staff on board, or by local subcontractors.
If necessary, you reserve a dry dock and follow up these works too. Also the logistics of spare parts (optimum stock management of spare parts on board and on shore, transport from and to Belgium, local purchase, ...) are part of your job reponsibilities.
Furthermore, you take care of the safety, quality and environment and you have certificates renewed in time. You can also be involved in new construction projects of dredging vessels.
Profile:
You are a civil or industrial mechanical engineer/electromechanics and you are prepared to work abroad.
