WE ARE HIRING SOUS CHEF AT EKEBERGRESTAURANTEN

 

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for you who have worked for at least 3 years as an à la carte chef and preferably as a Sous chef before. You have a natural leadership and can inspire your work group and have a sense of order. You are used to dealing with stress and have the ability to shift up the pace. We believe that you are a strong person who never bends a millimeter in terms of quality and sees cooking as a craft. We also count on you sharing our love of gastronomy and putting pride in your work.

As Sous chef, your task is to operate and develop the kitchen according to the framework set by the Head Chef and the General Manager.

 

Tasks:

Work actively in service in the kitchen with a close collaboration with the Head Chef. Your main areas of responsibility are: cooking, menu planning, purchasing, quality and hygiene.

 

You are responsible for the flow of your production and minimize waste.

You plan your purchases and are responsible for the right quantities and quality.

You are responsible for maintaining and developing our range together with the Head Chef.

Design new menu options based on seasonal ingredients.

Ensure optimal resource management and fast service in the pass.

Train new and existing kitchen staff in the preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes on the current menu and train the staff at all stations.

Ability to communicate professionally in English in speech and writing
