ABOUT OUR OPEN POSITIONS

For permanent positions we are seeking to employ EU-educated nurses, or non-EU educated but with minimum 1 year of work experience as a registred nurse in an EU/EES-country, to our oncology department, ward 52

 

Ward 52 is an oncology unit for patients with breast cancer, unknown primary tumor, thyroid cancer and gastro-intestinal cancer. In this unit we also house the Isotop-reception where treatment with radioactive nuclides is provided.

Together in a skilled team of doctors, specialist nurses, nurses, assistant nurses and health care managers to coach you in your daily work you provide care, radiation therapy and palliative care. You work day, - evening,-  and weekend shifts but never nights.

YOU WILL GET A PROPER EDUCATION AND ONBOARDING PROCESS:

✓ Introduction education: Radiation and Cytostatics certificate

✓ Introduction education: Acute oncology team training

✓ Possibility to do university courses on paid work time in general oncology or organspecific oncology.   

✓ Possibility for subspecialzing to oncology nurse on paid work time

✓ You work closely with different professions where your nursing competence is highly valued in the team.

✓ You will have an individual working schedule 10 weeks at the time where you yourself gets to wish which days and shifts you’d like to work.

✓ You will be offered CPR-training once/year.

✓ Every Friday a cozy breakfast is served for the staff and every other Friday a lecturer will give a little class on an oncology related topic for your competence development.

ABOUT YOU

You are an academical registred nurse with experience and/or genuine interest for the oncology care. You meet your patients with emphathy and respect and work good in a team as well as independently. You are well organized and keep your calm during stressful situations.

 

OUR OFFER

- After the clinical trial, and you have obtained your Swedish license to practise, we offer you a permanent position +

  • An individual salary, starting from €2700/gross/month and more with experience and competence  (+ an extra add on when working odd hours or overtime hours)

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

  1. You send us your CV, a motivational letter and your nursing diploma to su.recruit@vgregion.se
  2. We will set up a Teams-interview with you followed by a visit to our hospital at our expence, (given that the digital meeting turned out successfully).
  3. If we have an agreement after the visit we will set up a contract and you will study Swedish in your home country, financed by www.sahlgrenska.se 
  4. Once you have reached level B2 in Swedish you will relocate to Gothenburg and start your employment with clinical introduction as an assistant nurse 50%, and continue with language training 50% until you reach level C1 and can apply for your Swedish license to practise as a nurse: https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/  (approx 4 months).

 

ESTABLISHMENT SUPPORT

HR Welcome Services will be your first line support through out the entire recruitment process and help you with all your queries, accommodation, registration in Sweden, language training to C1 and much more. We will also offer job finding support to accompanying spouse.
