GENERAL OPERATOR – BLOCK YARD
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the movement of products and materials is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, to meet the customers’ expectations.
You will be responsible for compiling orders for dispatch, loading/unloading lorries and moving and stacking product in the yard. In addition, the role will involve operating machinery, general maintenance and performing cleaning duties where necessary to maintain the upkeep of the plant.
It is essential that you maintain a tidy work area and ensure the yard is organised at all times and you adhere to all the company’s health & safety policies and procedures.
The successful applicant should preferably have previous experience of operating a forklift in a similar environment.
Applicants must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment; demonstrate the ability to work in a team and on their own initiative, a have a flexible attitude and knowledge of health & safety.
In addition, applicants must be able to meet the physical and health requirements of the role.
This role will involve 12 ¼ hour shifts.
Hours of work required Monday -Thursday 08:00am -5:30pm & Friday 08:00am -4pm.
