About Our Restaurants “The Lodge Restaurant”, with its high ceilings and large fireplace, offers our highly popular buffet with a different theme each evening. A good day we serve about 700 guest breakfast and dinner at “The Lodge Restaurant”.

At "Wärdshuset," we serve homemade, nutritious Swedish dishes, mainly using ingredients sourced from local suppliers in Dalarna. In the staff restaurant, our employees can choose from several hot dishes daily.

“Toppstugan” provides stunning panoramic views and an à la carte restaurant with table service. It also features a café, two bars, and an outdoor grill on the terrace. A few evenings a week, we host our popular fondue night.

In “Våffelstugan,” we serve a large number of waffles, made from our own batter and accompanied by our homemade jams. We also prepare a selection of simpler dishes. The café, bar, and large terrace service complete the offerings at “Våffelstugan.”

We have a “burger place” that serves a large number of burgers to our guests in a short amount of time. Here, it's all about speed to quickly satisfy hungry skiers.

About the Job as Chef As a chef or prep cook with us, your primary responsibilities will include preparing and serving food. You will plan tasks for the coming days, ensure your station is well-prepared and clean, and assist with ordering supplies by monitoring stock levels. You should be ready to help out in other departments when needed and delegate simpler tasks, such as to kitchen assistants. We are seeking both full-time and part-time chefs for the December-April season.

Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for individuals who are passionate about cooking and eager to develop and learn new skills. You should be organized, responsible, and detail-oriented. You should have a humble attitude and be willing to step in where needed. Teamwork, flexibility, efficiency, and cooperation are essential. You should be adept at handling unexpected situations, ensuring that both guests and colleagues are satisfied.

We only hire candidates with industry experience, including education or professional experience in commercial kitchens or restaurants. You should have a strong understanding of food hygiene and HACCP, as well as knowledge of allergies and special diets.

Our main language in the kitchen is Swedish but English works as well and are also a requirement to work in the kitchen at Romme Alpin.

About Romme Alpin Romme Alpin is located 13 km outside Borlänge in southern Dalarna and is Sweden's largest ski resort outside the mountain region. Romme Alpin is open seven days a week during the winter season. The short travel distance attracts many guests from Stockholm and other cities in central Sweden.

Romme Alpin's Ski Lodge is one of the largest in Dalarna, with 700 beds. Several of our restaurants are centrally located within our facility, with two additional restaurants situated on top of our two mountains.

Romme Alpin's guests have a great passion for skiing and high expectations of quality service. They seek to eat, drink, and live well. Our mission is to provide them with an exceptional experience at our hotel and in our various restaurants, complementing their time on the slopes.

Romme Alpin is a member of HRF (The Hotel and Restaurant Workers' Union) and VISITA (a trade association and employer organization for the Swedish hospitality industry). We adhere to contractual salaries and regulations.

Minimum wage without professional experience: SEK 24,339 / month (140.69 SEK/hour). Minimum wage with 6 years of professional experience: SEK 26,139 / month (151.09 SEK/hour).

We offer housing to all our international employees on a walking distance from the Ski Rersort. 

It´s easy to go to Romme Alpin. From Stockholm/Arlanda (air port) you go by train. That trip is about 2 hours. We will arrange a pick up in Borlänge. From Borlänge to the resort its about 20 minutes by car.
