GN ReSound Ballerup - Denmark GN ReSound is offering the market’s most advanced digital hearing aids, accessories and apps. Recently, we have launched ReSound LiNX (http://www.resoundlinx.com/) – the world’s first and only hearing aid that integrates Bluetooth Smart technology and allows for streaming of audio directly from iPhones/iPads - and the market reaction has been overwhelming. Our technology and product innovation continue with full speed, and we want more software developers onboard, who have strong experience and skills within wireless protocols and embedded software programming, and who want to be part of the fastest growing company in the industry. You will be part of the System Software group that works right in the sweet spot of technology innovation, developing firmware for all GN ReSound’s hearing aids and accessories. Some significant responsibilities of this group include our wireless software with Bluetooth LE stack as well as support for our wireless accessories, plus own real-time OS that allows for ultra-low power operation of our systems. GN ReSound’s state-of-the-art ultra-low power platform is a multiprocessor system that includes a DSP developed by GN ReSound, an ARM radio application processor, embedded system DSP software, wireless/wired communication with accessories and smartphones/tablets and PC’s and PC software for making products. Tools like assembler, debugger, C-compiler and simulator are also part of the platform. The job You will participate in all software development phases from definition until release, deployment and support. Depending on your experience, you will take ownership of various software components of the platform and/or new wireless functionality and participate in the ideation, specification and development of these. You will provide innovative and effective solutions to the software system in general as well as to the specified features and assure high quality design and implementation of these. You will also own the unit testing of your project deliveries and during the integration iterations you will eagerly support the debugging and quickly develop good solutions to any challenges. Sparring, code refactoring, reviewing and configuration management are natural parts of your daily work. You will be working in a project oriented and agile development culture. You will participate in cross-functional projects with developers from various departments and with a typical duration of 3-12 months. Your experience and professional skills You have a Master degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent, and are proficient in English, both spoken and written. Additionally, you have skills and experience within several of these areas: • Embedded software development in C and assembler • Software development for wireless communication, physical layer and packet-orientated protocols (e.g. 2.4 GHz Bluetooth) • Design, implementation, simulation, documentation, verification and support of reliable, maintainable, scalable, reusable and efficient software • Real-time embedded systems, constrained by MIPS, memory and power consumption • Agile and lean software development and knowledge of design patterns and UML Your personal skills As a person, you have a high pride for your work and contribution and a strong desire for making a difference.
