The Engineers Mobility Days, organized from Portugal, is now in its 3rd edition and is an opportunity for companies to meet with highly skilled engineering and IT professionals from Portugal and from across Europe. You will not only meet recent graduates and students but also experienced jobseekers with solid language skills (mostly English), some of them already with international experience.
This event will take place both onsite at the Coimbra Institute of Engineering (ISEC), where you will mostly meet Portuguese candidates, or online from your office, where you will be able to reach candidates Europe-wide.
A wide range of recruitment opportunities will be available to employers, from the publishing of your recruitment needs on the event’s website and live-streamed presentations of your company, to automatic screening / matching / interview booking services, as well as personalised advice on recruiting from another country.
If you are a jobseeker, you will be able to browse through and apply for jobs that match your profile, make contact with employers and maybe even book one or more job interviews over the two days, either online or onsite. You will also benefit from a live-streamed (and onsite) programme of company presentations, a job search programme and workshops on living and working in the participating countries, particularly targeted at engineering and IT professionals.
Participation is free of charge (both for companies* and jobseekers).

The Engineers Mobility Days, now in its 3th edition in Portugal, is an opportunity for you and employers from across Europe to meet and make contact. This year’s event will also have an online component, so you will be able to participate no matter where you are, either in Portugal or in Europe.
This event will offer YOU a full package for job search in Europe, either online or onsite. You will be able to:
· Apply to, and/or bookmark, during the next weeks, job vacancies which fit your profile, and maybe be pre-selected for an interview;
· Make first contact with employers at the stand, and/or via live chat;
· Take part in company presentations;
· Attend info sessions on living and working in the participating countries;
· Benefit from (previously appointed) on-the-spot or online recruitment interviews with employers.

To get the most out of the event you should register online beforehand. Registration will give you access to a wide range of features on offer, as well as regular updates, regarding both the online and onsite events.

How to participate
- Register as a visitor at www.engineersmobilitydays.eu (entrance is free of charge, but previous registration is compulsory);
- Study / research the available information on the participating companies and countries (please check the Exhibitors section) and on their recruitment profiles / needs (Jobs List);
- Search for the job vacancies (Jobs List) for which you gather all or most of the requirements;
- Apply (in the platform) to the job vacancies matching your profile;
- Always respect the application language (as a rule, English), otherwise your application will not be taken into account.
Some companies will book recruitment interviews on the 21th and 22th, based on previously gathered and pre-selected applications.
In case you’re pre-selected, you may participate in one or more interviews during the event.
- Please also check the Programme regarding info sessions, workshops and company presentations (on permanent update up until the 14th of May); don’t forget this Programme will also be live-streamed online;
- Get ready, select the countries, companies and mobility supporting services you want to approach, identify the questions you want to place.
During the event:
- In order to take better advantage of info, advice and employer contact opportunities, we advise you to save the whole day for participation;
- Regarding the Programme of info sessions on the countries and company presentations, be selective; choose those which are actually looking for your profile and skills;
- Although the ideal approach pressuposes previous online application, you should take with you some printed CVs in English; namely if you intend to benefit from advice at the info points of the participating countries;
- When approaching the stands, a careful image is importante, but also a good level of English and a positive and assertive attitude; also the demonstrated knowledge regarding the companies and their main projects, as well as regarding the countries, will be an added value . Therefore, you should document yourself as much as possible.

Getting there
Coimbra is located in the center of Portugal.
At the meeting point of major thoroughfares, is served by one of Portugal's biggest crossroads (A1), which links to Oporto and to Lisbon and by a freeway (IP3) which allows the connection to Viseu and to Spain.
The international airports nearest to Coimbra are located in Lisbon (200 km away) and in Porto (110 km away).
From Lisbon International Airport (Portela) – Coimbra
By bus?
You must take a taxi or the tube to the Bus Station in Sete Rios. By taxi the trip will last about 15 minutes. Buses are regular. Some buses may stop in other cities in its path before arriving at Coimbra. The trip will last about 2 hours.

By car?
When leaving the airport you should take the A1 motorway heading NORTE and exit in Coimbra Sul. You should expect the journey to take 2 hours.
By taxi?
There are two taxi stands within the perimeter of the airport, one at arrivals and the other at departures.
By train?
It is recommended that you travel by taxi or subway to Lisboa Oriente railway station. You will find taxis readily available at the front of the airport and the underground station as well.
Trains run by CP (portuguese railways) and stop regularly at Coimbra. The trip will last about 2 hours if you take ALFA and a bit more if you take Intercidades. There are two railway stations in Coimbra: Coimbra-B, on the main line, and Coimbra-A, on a short branch line in the city centre.
Please be aware that Intercidades, Alfa and Inter-Regional trains do not stop in Coimbra-A, only Regionals do. Therefore, you have to get off of the train in Coimbra-B station and there take the next possible train to Coimbra-A. You can use the same ticket, as this transfer is included in the price. This ride takes about 4 minutes.

From Oporto Airport (Francisco Sá Carneiro) - Coimbra
By bus?

By car?

From Porto airport you will need to travel to Gare da Campanhã (the main train station in Porto). It is recommended that you travel to this station by taxi or underground. Within the city:
The city has a good network of buses through the Municipal Services of Coimbra Urban Transportation (SMTUC).These buses are the best within the city transport system, including modern buses as well as trolley cars.
To reach ISEC from railway station (Coimbra-A or Coimbra-B), you should take one of the these buses: 24, 24T, 11 and 11C (Monday to Friday from 20:00, Saturdays and Sundays).
To reach ISEC arriving at Coimbra by Express Network you should take one of the following buses (at Avenida Fernão de Magalhães or near the Courthouse): 24, 24T, 11 and 11C (Monday to Friday from 20:00, Saturday and Sunday).

- Publish your company profile (including the option to add videos) and recruitment needs online, in this platform;
- Gather applications beforehand, either screened (with the help of a EURES adviser) or not;

- Choose to participate onsite, online or in both formats;
- If participating onsite, choose to have a stand, one or more company presentations (30 minute slots), an interview booth (in dedicated rooms) or a combination of all;

About the event
Promoting safe mobility in Europe is the main purpose of the 3th edition of the Portuguese Engineers Mobility Days to take place on the 21th and 22th May in Coimbra – ISEC (Coimbra Higher Engineering Institute).
EURES Portugal and IEFP, the Portuguese Public Employment Service, are once again organising this event, an international job fair for engineering and ICT Portuguese jobseekers willing to move abroad. Previous editions have attracted more than 6,500 visitors with the participation of more than 70 employers from 10 European countries. There was also a comprehensive programme of info sessions, workshops and company presentations throughout the days.
This year the Engineers Mobility Days will have the increased interest of taking place at the same time as FENGE – Engineering Fair, the greatest thematic technical Fair / Exhibition in the Engineering segment in Portugal, organised by ISEC and regularly visited by many experienced Engineering professionals in the country (last year around 1500 visitors per day – during 4 days).
As a jobseeker, you will be able to meet employers and/or labour market experts from several other European countries, and be interviewed on the spot and/or online by participating employers. There will also be info workshops and advice on living and working in the participating countries, as well as company presentations. You will be offered a thorough support package to your job search in Europe.
If you’re an employer, you will be able to meet hundreds of qualified jobseekers, both experienced and graduates, actively looking for jobs within your sector. You can also benefit from the help of EURES before the event, through the screening of job applicants who might be a good match for your recruitment profiles. You’ll then have the opportunity to meet them during the event, either face-to-face or online.

About Coimbra
