Aker Solutions' Workover Systems team is based in Fornebu and Tranby, Norway, and is a part of Aker Subsea. It is an innovative, dynamic and highly competent team that develops and delivers advanced systems to perform well completion, maintenance and intervention of subsea wells on depths down to 3000 meters. We are now looking for creative and talented individuals who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Subsea market.

We are looking for: Senior System Engineers / Leads for Workover / Well Access System

We are looking for Senior Engineers who can strengthen our new Workover System Integrity Team, within Project Execution. The team shall ensure delivery of safe and compliant systems, which have undergone full system verification. Team shall also ensure that system is configured and aligned with standardisation guidelines defined for core systems and product portfolio. System Integrity Team will develop and approve Project Workover System Design Basis, with attached documentation.

We are participating at EURES "Engineers Mobility Days" Event in Coimbra, Portugal on the 21-22 May.
At this event we are recruiting particularly for this position.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Responsible for co-ordination, administration and technical output of all deliveries within System Integrity workpack
• Responsible for System Design Basis and all attached documentation as part of a Workover System delivery, on a System Engineering level
• Coordinate all technical input / output to all project workpacks
• Manage a technical team within a Workover System project scope
• Responsible for preparing and reviewing both internal and external system documentation
• Responsible for Interface management
• Responsible for System hydraulic analysis
• Responsible for compliance to HSE regulations
• Participate in tender work and study, and concept activities
• Organize Design Reviews within his/her area of responsibility – both internal and with client
• Manage and execute project related activities in accordance with project execution models and international standards
• Reports to System Integrity Manager

Qualifications & personal attributes

• Relevant theoretical education (Minimum B.Sc.) – Preferably Underwater Technology, Marine, Automation, Mechanical, Control, Electrical, hydraulic or Cybernetics Engineering
• 5+ years engineering experience from subsea projects
• Good understanding and knowledge of Subsea workover systems
• Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical controls
• Well access and Well Integrity knowledge (valve configuration and barrier philosophy)
• Knowledge of national and international codes and standards (i.e. PTIL, API, ISO, NORSOK, DNV)
• Preferably offshore experience with workover systems
• Preferably SAP experience
• Enthusiastic and innovative in finding solutions
• Good commercial awareness and communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, ability to manage a team and to plan and organize work in an efficient manner
• Willing to travel both national and internationally
• Experience with WOS equipment may compensate for lack of engineering experience
