Project Manager
Do you have solid experience leading new product development projects? Then this is your opportunity to manage projects for highly engineered electro-mechanical and electronic products for the off-road market. Specifically, you will be leading a large project with high visibility in the organisation to develop a new platform for our line of HMI (Human Machine Interface) products. You will be part of Electronic Components - a successful business unit working within the exciting world of electronics .The position is based in Nordborg and you report to the team lead in Minneapolis, just as you lead global project teams. Lead projects from concept development to market launch Initially, your main focus will be to lead the new HMI platform development through to launch. However, you may also be assigned to other projects, and your portfolio will typically consist of 2-3 projects running simultaneously. A key focus will be scoping the projects and performing risk management in order to successfully lead the projects ensuring timelines, cost, and quality. Another key part of the role is to lead global cross-functional teams with a diverse range of functional areas including Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Customers, and Supply Chain. Your key responsibilities will be to: • plan and manage the progression of key projects through the development and launch process • provide expert project management knowledge and support to project teams • facilitate overcoming obstacles to achieve successful development and launch of products • coordinate the analysis of scope changes and ensure implementation with consistent design integrity Certified Project Manager with several years’ experience • You have +10 years of industry experience paired with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Development Project Manager using a phase/gate methodology • You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering or Computer Science • Preferably, you have a PRINCE2, PMP Certification or similar • Preferably, you are familiar with control systems for off highway equipment (or other equipment with critical safety features) including real time embedded software In this position excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills are essential in order to lead a global and culturally diverse team. Thus, you need to be able to lead from a distance and communicate effectively across functions and nationalities. You have excellent problem solving skills, and being passionate about project management, you are able to lead projects successfully in a global organization.
