Project Director, Production Plant Projects

Work Place: Lyngby, Denmark As part of Haldor Topøe’s growth strategy we will over the coming years invest in and build a large number of new catalyst production plants at various production sites around the world. We are therefore strengthening our project execution organization and are offering a challenging position as Project Director, Production Plant Projects. The Project Director will work in the Project Management Department which is a part of Engineering Production with 500 employees in Denmark and India executing third party projects as well as investment projects. The Project Management Department with 50+ employees consists of Project Directors, Project Managers, Planners, and other support functions. Your responsibilities - Supervise and support project managers - Establish and maintain relevant procedures - Define and approve pre-projects output - Approve budget calculations - Approve project scope definition - Participate in steering committees - Develop and approve project executions philosophies - Establish and maintain contact with hardware suppliers - Establish and maintain contact with engineering partners - Report project status to management - Evaluate project execution and continuously improve the process - Ensure feed-back from projects and implementation of lessons-learned. You - Have broad experience in project management - Have a systematic approach to problem-solving - Feel the urgency of meeting deadlines and budgets - Are able to set the pace and define the target - Are able to operate in an ever changing multicultural environment with many stakeholders - Have a large working capacity and a good sense of humor. Qualifications You have an engineering background and a proven track record within project management in engineering, technology, or production organizations. You have experience with large investment projects in Denmark or abroad and have experience in working in the field between production and project execution with authorities and contractors.
