
Kitchen Trainee - The Westin Palace, Milan
The intern will be integrated into the kitchen brigade at the Westin Palace and will have the opportunity to enhance the training acquired through school and educational courses; gain technical-professional skills related to gastronomy and oenology; and develop operational skills pertinent to the role of a chef.
Professional skills to be acquired:
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques;
- Knowledge of food cooking techniques;
- Knowledge of food preservation techniques;
- Ability to recognize food quality.
Transversal skills to be acquired:
- Ability to work in a team;
- Ability to perform specific tasks within limited timeframes;
- Ability to work and manage stressful situations.
Planned training: At the beginning of the internship, the intern will be paired with a tutor who will gradually make them more autonomous. By the end of the internship, the intern will be able to work independently in the department and complete assigned tasks autonomously.
