Are you looking to add relevant practical experience to your theoretical knowledge of thermal power? Join us and become an Engineer in our Operations & Maintenance Management, where you together with 7 experienced colleagues will be responsible for supporting and optimising the production of electricity, heat and system services. Operations & Maintenance Management is part of Thermal Power, which has 900 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We own just below half of the thermal production capacity in Denmark and are at the forefront of the development within efficient use of biomass and reduction of the environmental impact through innovative bio-refining technologies. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Engineer, you perform analyses regarding optimisation opportunities in the value chain in Thermal Power as well as analyses of the power plants' commercial availabilities. Moreover, you will function as project manager in various projects with many stakeholders, such as energy savings and availability optimisation projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for ad hoc project management to optimise power, heat and ancillary services, and you will also be responsible for and participate in Operations & Maintenance Management knowledge centres. Furthermore, your primary tasks will be to: execute technical business projects transform knowledge into action that creates business value proactively identify new opportunities for our thermal power plants perform ad hoc tasks and prepare reports. Your profile You have a Master of Science degree in Engineering focusing on sustainable energy, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or similar. Moreover, you will be interested in developing your project management skills. Additionally, you have strong analytical skills which will enable you to understand and solve problems in complex business environments. Furthermore, your solid collaboration skills will ensure that you work well with your various stakeholders and have a service-minded approach to your colleagues and business partners. In addition, you are proactive and self-driven with the ability to plan and coordinate your daily work independently. You also possess a positive mind set and a great drive in your projects. As you will be joining a dynamic company with ambitious goals and targets, it is important that you are able to adapt yourself to an ever-changing working environment. As you will prepare a lot of our written material in both languages and we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you have good communication skills and speak and write Danish as well as English fluently.
