Laundry Attendant

Duties:

• To ensure that all the hotel linen and towels are well washed and pressed to the hotel’s required standard. To see that all areas and machines are kept clean and neat throughout the day.
• To help in the cleaning and pressing process of Hotel Linen.
• To sort out clean linen.
• To load and unload machines (ensuring that the right amount of line is put in the machines according to the set out procedures).
• To ensure that there is no waste with washing powder and softener and that there is always enough in stock.
• To fold clean linen and watch out for any frayed or badly stained ones. Frayed linen should be given to the Linenkeeper and badly stained to be reported to Laundry Supervisor.
• To help with the stock taking of Hotel Linen.
• Always maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and smart appearance.
• To carry out any other relevant duties as directed by Management.

Requirements:

• The applicants must speak Greek and English (any other language will be considered as an advantage)
• Ensuring service excellence according to the company’s standards
• Be able to remain calm under pressure conditions
• To work as part of a team and be able to meet the department’s objectives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferable at least one year of previous experience
