Restaurant Waiter/Waitress
MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
Contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Service by in enhancing the dining experience of guests.
TASK, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Listen attentively to guests’ dining preferences, take their food and beverage orders accurately, and relay these orders to the kitchen and bar staff.
Deliver food and drinks from the kitchen and bar to the guests' tables promptly and professionally, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
Ensure the dining area, including tables and seating arrangements, are clean and well-maintained, ready for new guests. This includes clearing tables after guests leave.
Have a thorough understanding of the menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials to answer any questions guests might have.
Follow all relevant health department rules/regulations and ensure that all eating and drinking areas are clean and safe for guests.
OTHER TASKS
Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, whether it’s through cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment methods, and return change or receipts as necessary.
Suggestively sell additional items, such as appetizers, drinks, or desserts, to enhance the guests' dining experience and increase sales.
Make periodic visits to tables to check if guests are satisfied with their meals and service, and to see if they need anything else.
Collaborate in cost and inventory management, as well as purchases.*
Apply inventory rotation techniques.
