Pastry/Baker
A Pastry/Baker plays a significant role in day-to-day functionality at the Wild
Flour Bakery. You work closely with the Head Baker and assist in all aspects of production and seasonal offerings.
Responsible for creating high-quality pastries and breads according to the standard recipes and presentations in order to
maintain quality and consistency. The Pastry/Baker will work as a team member and have a flawless understanding of
food safety and professional hygiene.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare, present, and store all baked goods and desserts, including, but not limited to cakes, chocolates, pies,
tarts, cookies, breads, buns, baguettes, and muffins, according to Wild Flour recipes and standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the various kitchen areas, including refrigerators and
storerooms, and that food products are rotated to ensure high standards of freshness.
• Ensure that all refrigerators and storerooms are organized and maintained daily and that all food products are
stored in accordance with provincial regulations.
• Maintain the bakery’s production schedule by following a strict daily routine.
• Work towards departmental objectives to ensure they are met or exceeded.
• Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents to ensure follow-up and prevention.
• Always stay productive and prepare for future needs as time allows.
• Help to raise the standards within the department and bring new concepts forward.
• Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and guests to foster and promote a
working environment that maximizes morale, productivity, and efficiency.
