Mechanical Design Engineer

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

– Move concepts into production. Choose proper implementation for the concept.

– Ownership of components.

– Control the Bill of Material.

– Support Production, Reliability, Purchasing, Service, Spare Parts, Applications, and Suppliers.

– Performs conceptual CAD designs, testing/validation and/or development projects within area of assignment: Emphasis is placed on accuracy, accountability/ownership, adherence to formal internal and external standards, procedures and processes, and accurate, acceptable documentation and report writing.

– Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

– Complete work requirements within the CAD software package used in the project.

SKILLS

– B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

– Several years of applicable progressive engineering experience.

– Must be very proficient in at least one of the major CAD (Computer Aided Design) packages.

– Automotive or Aerospace experience is preferred.

– Ability to learn custom software applications, especially relating to CAD and data management.

– Knowledge and experience with object oriented languages is essential.

– Knowledge and experience with technical environment.

– Excellent social and communications skills.

– Very good knowledge of the English language, both written and oral. An advantage is good knowledge of the Swedish language, both written and oral.
