Become part of the metrology team at Kamstrup
We are experiencing rapid growth and are investing massively in development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for wireless reading of consumption meters for electricity, water and heat. In the position as Head of Flow Laboratory, you will become a part of Kamstrup’s quality department and you will be referring to our Vice President for Quality & Environment.
In the quality department, you will play an important role in the metrology team. The team is responsible for the accuracy of our products and works across the organisation to optimise equipment for flow metering. In addition, they are responsible for insuring that our flow benches live up to regulatory and internal requirements. You will find yourself in a creative and professional environment and will be working closely with colleagues from both the production and technology departments.
Head of Flow Laboratory with technical responsibility for flow measurements
As Head of Flow Laboratory, you will be technically responsible for our Flow Laboratory, with management of three employees and your primary areas of responsibility include:
• Research in and development of Fluid Dynamics
• Contact with institutes, external laboratories and authorities
• Project management for approval of metering equipment and accredited production processes
• Approval of new processes and products based on systematic analysis of robustness and reliability
• Systematic analysis, problem solving and development of new complex test systems
Furthermore, you will contribute to maintaining and expanding our expertise in building and operating flow benches through both our own experiences within Kamstrup and exchanging experiences with other laboratories and universities.
You must expect 20-30 travel days a year.
Personality matters
We are looking for a professionally ambitious person, who meets deadlines and acts as a trustworthy business partner. It is a requirement that you:
• Have a professional background in engineering or similar and have a Ph.D. in Fluid Dynamics in relation to developing methods and running projects with engineers and master students
• Have experience with metering techniques and metrology, where you have acquired skills in solving different technical challenges
• Have 2-5 years’ experience within management
• Speak and write English
Furthermore, it is an advantage if you know German and Danish or are willing to learn the languages on a basic level.

You are motivated by working in teams as well as individually and therefore, you work well in both projects and self-managed tasks. You grow with challenges and have great attention to details. In addition, you possess good interpersonal skills and are capable of communicating and cooperating with external partners and colleagues.
