IMPORTANT NOTICE non-EU-EFTA nationals
Please note this event is intended for EU and EFTA nationals only.
If you are a non-EU-EFTA national, please read this information carefully.
Immigration rules still apply
Even if you are already living in a EU or EFTA country, immigration rules apply if you want to move to one of the participating countries to work.
- Immigration laws, procedures, and requirements differ from country to country
- Each EU | EFTA Member State has its own rules regarding:
- work permits
- residence permits
- visa procedures
Where to find official information
We strongly recommend that you consult official sources to understand your situation:
- Basic principles for labour market access for non-EU nationals
- The EU Immigration Portal
Important note on seasonal jobs
This event focuses mainly on seasonal jobs for the Spring–Summer 2026 (from April to September-October).
Because of:
- lengthy immigration and visa procedures, and
- employers’ need to recruit quickly,
it may be very difficult for employers to consider applications from non-EU-EFTA nationals, as visa processing timelines often do not match their recruitment needs.
Long-term EU residents
If you have:
- legally lived for more than 5 years in one EU Member State, and
- obtained EU long-term resident status,
you are entitled to equal treatment in that Member State compared to national and EU citizens, including access to:
- employment and self-employment
- education and vocational training
- certain tax and social benefits
In some cases, long-term residents may be eligible to move to another EU country for work. However:
- this is not automatic
- you must meet specific conditions set by the destination country
- approval depends on factors such as the national labour market situation
- you will generally need to apply for and obtain a residence permit before starting work
Please note that these procedures can be time-consuming.
