Support Specialist (ESB)
Job description
As a member of our agile platform operations management team you are responsible for the support and deployment of software packages and projects, conducting system testing and day to day operational support for our Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) across multiple environments.
- Install and operate our ESB test and production system
- Troubleshoot errors and performance bottlenecks and find solutions in collaboration with the development team
- Manage and conduct Software AG webMethods product updates and migrations
- Assist in planning and execution of stress and load tests
- Release management and software deployments
- Improve the automation of our software deployments and platform provisioning capabilities
- Maintain our growing system landscape
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining a large software platform
- Knowledge and experience in administering with Linux/Unix systems, including shell scripting skills
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- Good communication as well as social and team-based skills
Good to have:
- Experience supporting ESB integration solutions with the Software AG product suite (Integrated Server, Broker, Universal Messaging, MWS, CentraSite, Mediator)
- Good programming skills in Java and webMethods Flow services, experience in operating and tuning Java applications
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle databases and SQL
- Experience with high availability setups (Clustering, Load Balancer)
