Laboratory Manager

Then we have an interesting job for you as Laboratory Manager in the Danfoss Industrial Automation Sensor laboratory. The laboratory is a sensor laboratory specialising in specific pressure and temperature sensor test, which qualify our sensors for the market. A laboratory, which support new product development, technology projects, product audits and running production. You will be organised in Supply Chain, but will have an equally split service support role for both R&D and Supply Chain. You will be leading a team of eight highly skilled people, including highly educated engineers, technicians and blue-collar workers. Secure continuous improvements and a TS16949 culture You will be responsible for an optimal operation of the laboratory and continuous improvements of the service provided to the internal customers (R&D and Supply Chain). In connection with our TS16949 certification, one of your main tasks will be to improve our measuring techniques and build up optimal processes to secure high performance. In addition, you will be staff responsible for the employees in the department and therefore responsible for making sure the necessary resources are always present, and that the team members have the right skills at all times. To ensure success, you need to have a high service level mind-set, a strong ability to prioritise and motivate and secure you keep yourself in the loop of important decisions involving the laboratory. Your main tasks will be: •Coordination and prioritisation of tasks •Planning and implementation of improvements in accordance with TS16949 •Improvement of measuring techniques and laboratory facilities •Development and coaching of employees Engineer with a passion for leadership You have a technical education at Bachelor’s level as a minimum. Preferably, you also have a mechatronic engineering background. Moreover, you have knowledge of TS16949 and measuring techniques, and you also have some experience with leadership and are passionate about it. On a more personal note, you have a holistic mind-set and are capable of running many tasks at the same time. The job requires many decisions to be taken, often in a short time. Therefore, you also have to be very structured and in favour of having clear processes in place. Last, but not least, you speak and write English fluently. If you also speak and understand Danish, that will be an advantage.
