Our client is leading company in the energy retrofit and sustainability sector in Ireland. As a Managing Agent for SEAI’s energy reduction programs for the past 10 years.
Due to the expansion of SEAI’s Solar Photovoltaic grant scheme, we are looking for a dedicated Solar PV Quality Assurance Inspector.
Job Description:
As a Field-Based Solar PV Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing installations completed by registered Solar PV contractors on homes across Ireland, primarily in the West. Your role will ensure that all work complies with SEAI’s high-quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of properties post-installation to ensure compliance with SEAI’s Code of Practice and Standards.
- Accurately complete inspection documentation, both on paper and electronically.
- Meet targets set by scheme management; performance reviews will be conducted regularly.
- Provide energy advice and technical guidance to scheme applicants, colleagues, and contractors.
- Manage and fulfill homeowner appointments.
- Handle follow-up activities, including outbound calls, emails, and paperwork.
Requirements:
- FETAC Level Six qualification in a construction-related discipline/trade (Electrician/Engineering).
- Excellent knowledge of electrical installations, particularly Solar PV systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Full, clean driving license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
