Among other things, Blue Ocean Robotics has won one of the robot industry’s most prestigious international awards, the IERA Award.

Blue Ocean Robotics, Europe’s largest manufacturer of service robots, has now strengthened its financial muscle, with an investment from the Danish company A.P. Møller Holding of 335.25 mDKK (45 mEUR/51 mUSD). This will enable the company to roll out its sustainable mobile robot solutions all over the world.

The job

The purpose of a Clinical Application Specialist is to leverage their healthcare knowledge and experience to successfully scope and implement Blue Ocean Robotics service robots. This role requires you to be customer-facing and engage with stakeholders, partners, Blue Ocean Robotics sales team and Robot Specialists. As a Clinical Application Specialist, you will be conducting end-user training on-site and aiding end-users in identifying and succeeding with the best possible way to integrate a service robot into their workflows. A typical robot implementation is a five steps approach; Site surveying, installation scoping, product installation, integration and installation follow-up. An Application Specialist will work in close collaboration with the respective regional sales team in order to provide support in presales, implementation and post-sales follow-up.

Your main tasks will be to provide application service for UVD, GoBe and PTR Robots to direct customers and distributors, herein under:

 

  • Provide a service to customers in collaboration with local partners, ensuring that the full value offering of the robot is realized at the customer site.

  • Perform activities at customer sites to improve the use of the product.

  • Communicate improvements to key end-customer stakeholders.

  • Drive customer satisfaction, loyalty and robot utilization by providing application services.

  • Provide ongoing training to end customers, users, super users and distributors’ application specialists both on-site and at HQ.

  • Differentiate with exceptional customer service and actively integrate user experience and outcomes among end-customers.

  • Supporting the sales process by scoping and aligning on functionality for potential robot installations.

  • Deliver technical and use-related feed-back from robot installations to our product development team.

  • Traveling is a significant part of the job.

The position requires willingness to travel extensively (in periods up to 80%) (4-5 days per week including some weekends) within the region with multiple modes of transportation (car, air travel, train etc). You are based in either South Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Greece, Japan, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Spain or USA.

 

Competencies

You have experience navigating and interacting with stakeholders and users in a healthcare or life science environment, preferably within infection prevention and control. Moreover, you also have a flair for understanding and applying technical products in a dynamic environment. Further skills required:

 

  • Educational background at Bachelor/Diploma level in healthcare-related domains

  • Healthcare or life science market experience, preferably within infection prevention and control or similar

  • Teaching and training experience is preferred

  • You have great presentation and communication skills to mixed audiences and can get your points across to both high-profile stakeholders and users.

  • You will be working with our latest technologies and therefore you are willing to learn about new software and hardware solutions

  • Good at communicating with customers, users and technical staff

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

  • Excellent English skills

  • Analytical approach and good at problem solving

  • Self motivating, structured and productive with a good overview
