Information for Non-EU/EFTA Nationals
If you are not a citizen of the the EU/EFTA, we kindly inform you that this event is currently only open to EU/EFTA residents.
Please keep in mind that, although you can participate in this event and use European Job Days platform for job searching and meeting employers, you will have to comply with additional legal obligations and administrative procedures to access the European labour market.
We advise you to find out in advance for further information :
- the basic principles of access to the European labour market for individual third-country nationals
- the European immigration portal
Concerning the authorization to work in France, please obtain information from your consulate or from the French consulate in the country where they live.
You can find more information on Service Public website and OFII website.
Third country nationals with long-term resident status in another European Member State are not entitled to access the French labour market. After three months, if they can prove that they have sufficient resources and health insurance, they can obtain a ‘visitor’s’ residence permit, which does not allow them to work, but is a first step towards changing their status (towards obtaining an employee status, if need be).
You should also be aware that employers may decide not to proceed with your application due to the expected length of immigration procedures related to your employment.
