The Quality and Patient Safety Manager will support the Head of Quality, Risk and Compliance with the development and implementation of systems that ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care in line with the regulatory and legislative requirements of (but not limited to) the Mental Health Act, Mental Health Commission, Health Services Executive, Health and Safety Authority.

This role will lead in the coordination of the collection, management, analysis and reporting of all quality, risk and patient safety information from multiple sources and databases and provide reports and insights to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Quality and safety operational management
  • Analyse incidents and complaints to identify and support continuous improvement
  • Support audits and risk management processes, and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Contribute to policy development, staff training, and the promotion of a strong quality and safety culture.
  • Support incident investigations, regulatory reporting requirements, and complaints management.
  • Deputise for the Head of QRC when required.
Munkaköri követelmények

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience in healthcare quality, safety, data and risk management.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and IT skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience of report writing.
  • Working knowledge of Mental Health Commission requirements in relation to mental health services.
  • Strong organisational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-focused approach that’s based on evidence and data.
  • A proven capacity to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated delivery of service improvements in line with best practice and regulatory standards.
