The Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced French teacher to join our Secondary team, with a focus on:

  • Delivering high-quality French language and literature teaching across the MYP and DP.
  • Designing and implementing engaging lessons that promote intercultural understanding and develop students’ confidence in communication.
  • Contributing to the planning, assessment, and reporting processes in line with IB expectations and school policy.
  • Supporting students of varying abilities through differentiated instruction and personalised feedback.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues to enhance the language acquisition and international-mindedness within the school.
  • Actively participating in pastoral care, co-curricular activities, and school events to enrich the wider student experience.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • A recognised teaching qualification and degree in French, Modern Languages, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching French within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and/or Diploma Programme (DP), or in a similar international or secondary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and the IB philosophy, with the ability to design engaging, concept-driven lessons.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse, international team.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance learning and engagement.
  • A genuine passion for language education and a commitment to fostering intercultural understanding and global citizenship.
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
