Job Summary – Construction Catering Manager
We are seeking an experienced and organized Construction Catering Manager to oversee catering operations at our construction site locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily food service activities, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency while meeting the specific needs of site workers and staff.
This role involves planning menus, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining stock levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The Construction Catering Manager will also manage budgets, control costs, and deliver excellent service in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication and organizational skills, a passion for good food, and the ability to run smooth catering operations that keep the team well-fed and satisfied.
Job Requirements – Construction Catering Manager
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in catering management, preferably in construction or industrial site catering.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Proven ability to plan menus, manage budgets, and control costs.
- Experience in staff supervision, scheduling, and performance management.
- Skilled in stock control, supplier coordination, and ingredient ordering.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent results in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations within catering operations.
- Professional qualification in Catering, Hospitality Management, or Culinary Arts (preferred).
- Full driving licence (an advantage ).
- Previous experience managing multi-site or large-scale construction catering operations
- Certification in Food Safety Management or HACCP Level 3+
- Knowledge of menu planning for high-volume, labour-intensive environments
- Experience using catering management software or stock control systems
- Strong background in customer service and staff training
- Ability to implement cost-saving and efficiency strategies
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in construction settings
- Positive, hands-on leadership style with a focus on teamwork and staff motivation
