Warehouse Cargo Agent – Schiphol Amsterdam JUST TO MAKE YOU AWARE: YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A CONDUCT OF GOOD BEHAVIOUR FROM THE COUNTRY YOU LIVE. WHEN YOU START WORKING AT THE LANDSIDE OF THE AIRPORT WAREHOUSE THE SCREENING PROCEDURE WILL START UP BY THE DUTCH AUTHORTITIES TO OBTAIN ACCES TO AIRSIDE. THIS PROCEDURE WILL TAKE 4-6 MONTHS. Ideally should have experience in a fast paced and challenging cargo environment or a strong back ground in a warehouse role and forklift experience a bonus. IF YOU DONT HAVE A FORKLIFT LICENCE WE MAY PUT YOU THROUGH AN INHOUSE LICENCE! Due to work load we now seeking a large volume of Cargo Handlers. These positions are Temp to Perm, So perm position after the completion of qualified shifts. Starting salary and allowances • € 11,50 a hour basic rate 22 years and older • 8 % holiday money. • 24 days a year paid holiday. • Surcharges paid at the weekend, nights and evenings up till 50 % for worked hours. • Reimbursement paid for daily travel. • 40 hour week, with a flexible approach to variable shift patterns as you could be put on any pattern. You will be trained on our In-house FLT, put through a Manual Handling Course and Dangerous Goods awareness. Supplied a uniform and security passes. Essential Skills required: • Ability to work within a team, as well as using own initiative • Pallet wrapping • Manual Handling • Good Command of the English language • Flexible to work on various shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays • Ability to speak and understand the English language. • No criminal record. • Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required • Willingness to work in inclement weather • Able to work in a manual environment and repeatedly lift up to 32kg throughout a shift. • Able to work as part of a team in a challenging environment • A full driving license B. • Previous experience working in an aviation environment is desired. • Have a full 10 year check able history (work, education, benefits, agency, gaps) Duties • Loading & Unloading cargo & Freight and reconciling paperwork accurately • Loading cargo into ULD containers or building onto Pallets • Goods inward activity at the warehouse door and recording accurate data of parcels/cargo been delivered • Sorting and locating cargo accordingly against warehouse procedures per customer/destination • Responsible for checking Dangerous Goods to IATA / AVI checks • Loading/unloading vehicles as and when required • Breaking down cargo and locating in correct areas against customer specification.
