Job ID: 221838 Location: Vejle, Brande or Ballerup Organization: Siemens in Denmark – Siemens Wind Power – http://www.siemens.com/windpower Mode of employment: Full Time For our Rotor/Nacelle Technology Team within the Offshore Engineering department we are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated team lead. The team is located in Vejle/Brande in Denmark and when fully developed the team will consists of Engineering Managers, Key Experts, Lead Engineers and Specialists. Your tasks will consist of developing and managing the Rotor/Nacelle Technology Team in Offshore Engineering to provide highly qualified support to sales/execution projects worldwide and to support product innovation and front end engineering, What are my responsibilities? As line manager your targets will be to develop the right competences, secure training and development, hire according to agreed hiring plan, develop and implement team strategy and manage according to agreed Budget and Business Plan You will systematically develop the team to fill defined roles in the project organizations, build up experience and empower your staff to take responsibility for the rotor/nacelle area in all project phases from contract negotiation, configuration, project specific design, certification, documentation, manufacturing, pre-assembly trough to installation and commissioning You will ensure that the deliverables of your employees are economically viable, technical state of the art and of high quality; meeting Siemens standards as well as project requirements Furthermore you will be key person in implementing our New Operating Model in the line organization. This entails portfolio ownership on technical topics, risks and cost for total lifetime Provide standard solutions to the projects based on Best Practices Drive standardization and quality across projects Assure Quality and define Best Practice for all deliverables Define lean processes / tools and ensure lessons learned from projects to line and define concepts and standard tools For this position you should expect up 20 days of travelling per year. What do I need to qualify for this job? You hold a relevant BSc or MSc, i.e. mechanical, construction, civil, manufacture or offshore engineering You have a track record with several years of experience in leading teams, with a hands-on, deliver-as-promised management style. You have gained professional experience in an international business environment, ideally in the context of offshore or wind industry You have gathered significant intercultural experience, and experience in cooperation / negotiating with international stakeholders. You possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing. Basic understanding of Danish is an advantage. As a person you have a responsible approach to your work and an analytical approach to your tasks. You are structured and result-orientated; you are able to carry out your tasks even in a sometime hectic and always dynamic environment. It is important for this role that you have an outgoing personality, as you will be working with various partners and suppliers and facing a lot of different interfaces. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
