The team creates, maintains and supports the ICT infrastructure and ICT applications that are used on board of the vessels, at the sites and in the offices. Your duties and responsibilities are:

  • Writing and testing (Unit Testing) quality code that meets applicable standards and delivers desired functionality.
  • Interpreting functional specifications and combining them with the technical architecture to arrive at a concrete design.
  • Communicating the design in an efficient manner with all stakeholders: Technical Architect, Functional Analyst, Developers.
  • Coaching the Developers in terms of writing code, understanding and applying technical architecture. Provide necessary support for planning and work follow-up.
  • Guarantee the quality of the delivered code by doing regular code reviews, providing feedback to the Developers and suggesting and following up on improvements.
  • In collaboration with the Technical Architect, establish an environment that efficiently supports team development, including an appropriate source control (GIT) and branching strategy, the necessary build/release scrips (Azure Devops), bug-tracking (Jira) etc.
  • You will report to the Senior Team Lead ICT Development.
Exigences professionnelles

As a (Junior) Software Developer, you are passionate about development and possess a bachelor's degree in a computer science field (or equivalent through experience). Have you just graduated or have a first work experience? Then you are also eligible!

You have knowledge of .NET (Core) C#, web development (Blazor, Angular) and RESTful web services (ASP.NET Web API), as well as SQL and stored procedures. Knowledge of offline applications, winforms, data synchronisation, scripting (javascript, powershell,...), reporting (Crystal Reports, Power BI) and architectural principles such as SOA is a plus. You are able to interpret analyses made with modelling languages such as UML. As Lead Developer, you are strongly communicative, problem-solving and able to guide and coach a team.
