You will act as a leading member of the team, managing complex assignments, providing expert oversight, and mentoring the next generation of planners.

What You’ll Bring to MKO
- You will lead and oversee the delivery of renewable energy planning applications and projects, managing complexity and ensuring technical excellence from start to finish.
- Act as a leading member of the Planning team, working on and leading large renewable energy planning projects from inception to completion.
- Lead on the delivery of planning applications and oversee and review all planning inputs, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
- Act as the main point of contact with client representatives, engaging proactively with relevant authorities and stakeholders to progress projects effectively.
- Undertake comprehensive review of planning assessments, reports, and project planning inputs prepared by the team.
- Actively mentor junior members of the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
- Ensure effective interaction with project stakeholders, clients, and multi-disciplinary project team members.
- Ensure the delivery of fit-for-purpose project outputs within set deadlines, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

What We’re Looking for in You
- We are seeking an experienced Planner with a proven track record of successfully leading projects in a consultancy environment.
- A qualification in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI Accredited).
- A minimum of 6 years of post-graduate planning experience, ideally gained within a consultancy environment.
- Relevant and recent experience working on projects in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors is essential.
- An excellent working knowledge of the Irish planning system, including the interaction of relevant national and European planning and environmental legislation.
- Excellent report writing skills and strong organisational capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead and oversee complex planning projects and manage a varied and full workload.
- Candidates must possess a full driver’s licence.
