Restaurant Waiter
The restaurant waiter takes care of the service in the restaurant; he is not only the person who serves food and drink but also the person who sells all the company's products and services.
What does a waiter do:
- He prepares the restaurant for the service.
- He welcomes customers and makes them sit down.
- It interprets the gastronomic needs of customers.
- Sells company products and services.
- It serves the diners food and drink.
- Manages customers and the service in general.
- Rearrange the operations area.
What a waiter should know:
- Notions of nutrition and hygiene.
- Language skills.
- Main needs and habits of the different types of customers, Italian and foreign.
- Notions of gastronomy, national and regional cuisine.
- Oenological knowledge, wine and beverage service in general.
- Education, etiquette and savoir-faire.
- Sales techniques.
