Can you see yourself as part of a successful market-leading business that sets industry standards? Then you could be our new Project Manager in Danfoss Heating R&D. You will be part of a global organisation which is world leading in developing and manufacturing heating control systems. You will join a team of project managers located in Denmark. Location will be in either Viby or Silkeborg, and you will report to the Head of Project Management. The position entails approx. 15-30 travelling days per year.

Be part of an expanding R&D with investment in innovation De facto, you will be and act as the manager of your projects and you will be part of a department in Danfoss that right now expands investments in research and development. You will be working cross-functionally and globally in close collaboration with suppliers, customers and internal functions such as sales, procurement, quality and production. The job involves high complexity and communication with many stakeholders.

Cross-functional product development Your objective will be to lead and manage cross-functional product development teams from business proposal (M0) and until products are introduced on the market (M5) with focus on fulfilling customer requirements and needs while ensuring timely completion, meeting quality and cost requirements. This means that you are to organise, lead and motivate the project team and create clear and attainable project targets. You will lead projects like new product development, product adaptations and cost down activities. Communication with customers, management and stakeholders about progress and deliveries is essential. You will manage time, cost and quality in order to meet business objectives and facilitate structured problem solving, thus mitigating risks. One of your success parameters is your ability to enable a high performance level in the project team – and to deliver on the milestones defined.

Inspiring personality and substantial project management experience Being an experienced project manager, you master all the basic project management tools. You are experienced in managing and coaching teams of 5-10 people, and you thrive in the leadership role and have an ability to motivate your colleagues to be at their best in order to deliver on common results. You work persistently to achieve your goals, and you possess the cooperation skills to establish solid relations – also with external partners. You have business acumen, a global mind-set and solid people management skills. In addition, you are characterised by drive and a positive energy that rubs off on your environment.

Project manager with change management skills You have an engineering background within product design, mechanical construction, mechatronics or equivalent. You have solid project management experience and extensive practical experience from product development with a proven record of accomplishment. You have change management skills from driving projects, and you take a burning interest in applying your knowledge and skills to implement improvements in a production environment. To be successful, you must possess a high level of energy and drive and thrive in the role as initiator and consultant. At the same time, you need to be able to communicate with colleagues of different cultural backgrounds as you will be operating at multiple organisational levels.
