Piping Engineer with vast experience from a Piping Lead role or equivalent

As our new Senior Piping Engineer and Technical Authority (TA), you will be a member of the Mechanical Process Equipment Group in Facilities, Technical Department in Esbjerg, Denmark. The group is at the forefront of piping expertise and is particularly known for its emphasis on team work and knowledge sharing. They undertake engineering activities for modification and improvement projects, specify and coordinate maintenance, and ensure that e.g. technical standards reflect best practice. You will be influencing the way we handle piping design, working with innovative, out-of-the-box projects and setting new standards along the way. At the same time, we will be looking to you to act as mentor in the group and continuously be updated on latest knowledge within your field. In effect you will function as a go-to piping expert for our Esbjerg Office, which constitutes the headquarters for all Maersk Oil production activities in the Danish sector of the North Sea and has approximately 350 onshore employees. Key Responsibilities As Technical Authority and focal point for piping design, your role will be to support and provide advice to both onshore and offshore personnel. This entails: • Being a safe guard for compliance to piping standards as Technical Authority • Reviewing off-shore modification proposals and piping projects • Preparing and updating maintenance specifications, guidelines and standards • Supporting, troubleshooting and drawing conclusions on repeated failures across assets • Supporting and investigating in connection with incidents • Executing piping projects Using your knowledge of piping design, piping stress analysis support design, and similar, you make sure we find the right solutions, when piping issues occur, ensuring that piping designs comply with standards and guidelines at all times. You will also be managing minor piping projects and vendors that at times include travelling abroad or to our offshore facilities in the North Sea. Who we are looking for As a person, you have high integrity. You are able to work independently and efficiently, and you enjoy being part of a team where knowledge sharing is essential to setting new standards. You possess the drive and desire to find optimal solutions both technically and financially.
