Pipe Stress Engineer (offshore industry)

As a Pipe Stress Engineer you will be working on projects for offshore jackets and topsides. You make sure that the detail piping and riser design is performed in accordance with the principles of safety in design and fabrication, fabrication friendliness, timely and quality of the outputs designs and jacket risers and topside piping is designed compliance with the project. FUNCTION To establish the requirements for the design of the risers/piping, regulatory and company standards To conduct (in-house) all the required analysis and calculations using the relevant software Analyze the results and make recommendations wrt to re-routing, support, strengthening etc. Work together with other jacket engineers wrt interfaces jacket-risers Manage the revisions (capture and communicate changes, follow-up) Ensure that the end product (incl. documentation) is meeting the contract specification PROFILE   Bachelor/master degree in engineering Fluent in English (written and spoken) At least 10 years of relevant working experience in the offshore oil & gas industry within the field of Pipe Stress engineering Experience in design and stress calculations for risers within steel jackets Good knowledge of regulatory requirements for topsides process piping within the Norwegian & North Sea waters Good knowledge of regulatory requirements for risers within the Norwegian & North Sea waters is an asset
