Operations Director (East)/

With company growth and expansion in the East market Gilbarco-Veeder Root is looking for ambitious and motivated OPERATIONS DIRECTOR (EAST) to take overall responsibility and provide leadership to the operating teams in the East area (including Finland and Baltics) with the scope of providing excellent quality deliveries within company's wide range of products and services to customers in this region. You will be a key player in the organisation and have overall responsibility for HSE and Compliance, have profit and loss responsibility (budgets and forecasts), drive and deliver profitable growth for the Service & Installation business in EAST region through strong value proposition in close co-operation with the Nordic Sales team. The focus of the role is also on driving Lean transformation of the operation to improve quality, delivery and cost within. Customer exposure is also an important area of focus. Building and securing quality in teams and service processes to maintain overall SLA, as well as optimize service and project engineer productivity and secure full control of all business KPI's through daily management are also key areas. Qualifications We are seeking for a skilled, self-confident and ambitious leader with process-minded, analytical, data-driven and highly hands on attitude focused on growth and development of the business. Background in managing complex (technical) operations between 3-5 years, strong motivation and interest on people-management/leading and/or experience and ability to operate at strategic and operational levels to drive and support business results are required. Experience in profit and loss responsibility and ownership is also a key requirement. You understand and manage situations though facts and KPI's and have the ability to produce and drive effective action plans and countermeasures. As a team player you are able to co-operate with sales and finance and other business functions to create excellence, drive change and teams. Understanding international work environment and this role requires strong financial and/or technical background, experience within SLA and also experience from Lean organisation. Background from FMCG industry or low-margin products business is highly appreciated. Strong written and verbal skills in English are essential. As this person will be working in Finnish market we highly value Finnish language skills but if you are fluent in one of the following languages (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish) you are eligible to apply. This role will be located in Finland, in either Porvoo (in future possibly Helsinki) or Tampere office. Operations Director will report to the Managing Director - Nordic & NEE. There will be extensive travelling involved (appr. two weeks per month).
