NOV Subsea Production Systems (NOV SPS, a world-leading company is seeking an experienced and qualified HSE Advisor, Kalundborg.

We are headquartered in Brøndby and have production facilities for flexible pipe in Kalundborg and Brazil. 

You will be based and work from our manufacturing facility in Kalundborg.

We are ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certified in Denmark, so in the position as HSE advisor, you will have a huge opportunity to use your professional and personal skills in your daily advice and support to colleagues, employees and managers. 

As part of your position, you will support the working environment organization and run/participate in development activities improving the safety culture in general on topics like ergonomics, machine safety, industrial hygiene, safety inspections, reporting system and accident prevention in general. Just to mention a few.

We are looking for a person with a strong focus on goals and process improvement, who puts the team before I and understands the practical aspects that need to be considered in a production that runs 24/7/365.

You are positive and in your professional approach towards guiding and listening to stakeholders at all levels you provide professional advice to improving the safety culture. We work towards making us all better in what we do.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters in an operational environment at all levels, including advising on AMO (Arbejdsmiljøorganisation) and conducting annual HSE discussions, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE Danish regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and prevent future incidents.
  • Advise and collaborate with management on implementing and maintaining management systems, including auditing on ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. 
  • Apply expertise in workplace layout, ergonomics, machinery safety, and industrial hygiene to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate the workforce on HSE-related matters, promoting awareness and enhancing safety culture within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain effective communication channels regarding HSE performance, initiatives, and requirements.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate HSE performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging HSE trends, and advancements in relevant regulations and technologies.
  • Foster a positive and proactive HSE culture by encouraging employee participation, involvement, and ownership in HSE initiatives.

 

Required qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, health and safety or a related field (desirable).               Relevant experience can be compensated for the lack of degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), with at least 3 years working with HSE strategies, incident investigation, audits and processes. 
  • Strong knowledge of incident investigation methodologies, root cause analysis (RCA), hazard identification, and risk assessment techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant Danish HSE laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Fluent level in Danish and English, written as well as spoken.

About the Team

Completion & Production Solutions

Through NOV Completion & Production Solutions, we serve well intervention service providers and oil and gas producers, and we pursue opportunities around hydraulic fracture stimulation, wellbore intervention equipment, composite tubulars, pumps, floating production systems, and subsea production technologies. Our integrated approach delivers greater certainty, reliability, and peace of mind.
