NATURE ENERGY ODENSE, Denmark. Data Engineer – Maternity leave
A key position within Nature Energy's biological work with data processing and statistics
You will be part of Nature Energy's R&D and Biological Support department, with a total of 22 employees, who conduct research within biogas. An MS SQL database exists to keep track of all the data generated from our own and external laboratories. In addition, we have just started to implement LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) as a tool to help track workflows for each analysis, implement automatized QC on our process and results, and facilitate a better dataflow. You get the responsibility as a “Product Owner” where you will implement and configure LIMS in close collaboration with external consultants within Europe and our own Laboratory staff.
Work tasks can among other things include:
- Implement and adjust dataflow between LIMS, new Dataverse/Power Apps, and existing MS SQL databases
- Project Management and communication with external consultants - and internal resources within R&D, Laboratory, and IT
- Assist in the definition and implementation of Quality Control for analyses and data processing
- Data processing
- Statistics on laboratory data, for both production and research (data visualizations and analyses)
Your workplace will be at our headquarter in Odense. The maternity leave is expected to be approx. 1 year.
IT- and Data profile with Project Management skills and motivation for the green transition
You probably have a degree in data science, data analysis, computer science, software engineering, or similar. The most important thing is that you thrive in the intersection between data processing, project management, and programming. You have already acquired your first experience with project management in the field of IT or Software implementation, so you can help facilitate a solid foundation for the data handling procedures in the laboratory. In addition, it is an advantage if you know Python and SQL or have other related programming experience - especially with API’s.
We are convinced that the personal match is crucial for us to be successful in the collaboration. That is why we invest in your development and give you the necessary knowledge and insight so that we jointly ensure that you succeed in the position. In addition to being motivated to contribute to the green transition, you are structured and have an analytical approach to tasks. You appear calm and accommodating when working with colleagues and consultants.
