Therefore, we are looking for a Purchaser to join our Purchasing team.
With a direct reference to our Purchasing Manager, you will be a part of our Purchasing team which is currently consisting of 8 colleagues. You will be a part of a team where challenging tasks, close daily sparring and an informal work environment and tone is key. The team handles purchasing from suppliers in Denmark, EU and Asia. We work towards a more efficient utilization of our stock and especially our suppliers’ logistics solutions. The flow of goods is paramount for our products and our options for catering to our customers’ needs more efficiently.
A job with focus on purchasing and development of logistics solutions
In the position as Purchaser you will be given the responsible for the daily allocation of a certain category of goods. In this connection, it is your responsibility to ensure timely deliveries, quality and quantity. The market can be turbulent why it demands that you stay on top of the market, that you can see patterns and react in time. Your primary task will be to ensure the constant flow of goods to our production – without stop and to the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.
More specific you tasks will be to:
- Allocate and handle auctions on open purchasing orders, so we always have the right amounts of goods at stock
- Communicate with suppliers revering the logistical setup and improvements hereof
- Challenge and optimize our systems and processes including forecast systems and
- Ensure a close dialog with other parts of our Supply Chain division about daily problems areas S&OP processes
- Maintain our master data
Personality matters
We are looking for a quality-conscious Purchaser who can use previous experience and structure to contribute to the further success of Kamstrup. You have a professional background within logistics, purchasing and similar at minimum HD or bachelor’s level. It is a requirement that you have at least 3 years of relevant experience from a similar position, where you have worked with purchasing of goods for a complex industrial production. Furthermore, you have an extensive understanding of Excel.
As a person you are outgoing, persistent and quality-minded while you thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are a pronounced team-player and manage to work and communicate with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders at all levels. You are proactive and good at asking the right questions and hereby challenge status quo.
With your experiences within purchasing it comes naturally for you to work structured and targeted, and you have a “can do it” attitude. You have strong merchant-genes and are motivated and driven by creating positive results.
In addition, it is a requirement that you master English on a high level – both orally and written.
