Inside the Ground Station Engineering Area in Rome, we are looking for System Engineer.

The resource will deal with the following activities:

  • Manage the development, qualification and delivery of the Ground Station system/subsystem.
  • System Engineering development lifecycle and change management process.
  • Operation concept development, system and product design, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control.
  • Support the Project/Program Manager in the technical coordination of a multidiscipline engineering team for design, integration and testing
  • Develop and manage system/subsystem requirements tracking and verification techniques.
  • Create simulations and perform analysis across Antenna system/subsystem functions.
  • Build test methods and plans for new developments through final product deployment.
  • In collaboration with team members, develop interface specifications and other design documents.
  • Lead customer and integrated team meetings and facilitate technical exchanges.
  • Assist with program management, schedule tracking, and product management.
  • Effectively work and communicate with all levels of management and team member contributors on the program.
  • Overview of the Hardware Development & Qualification activities related to the project.
  • Systems Engineering support tasks as needed.
  • Support to Ground Station Engineering Process

 

Required technical skills/competences:

 

Degree

  • Master Degree (MSc) in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or comparable qualifications

Seniority

  • At least 1 years relevant professional working experience in the space industry.

 

Hard Skills

  • Experience in Space Exploration programs (e.g. Moon, Mars) or in Earth Observation programs (e.g. Ground Segments for Civil/Defence applications, preferrable with experience in Ground Stations Engineering)
  • Experience in Space Exploration and/or Earth Observation sub-systems engineering, design, analysis and trade off
  • It is preferrable an experience in requirement analysis, architectural study and trade-off and in the requirement allocation process to the Ground Segment subsystems
  • Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) del SysML ed UML;
  • Experience in the use of System Engineering tool like IBM DOORS/Rhapsody
