Greet and seat guests, manage reservations and waitlists, answer queries, provide menu guidance, ensure guest satisfaction, maintain cleanliness, promote positive reviews, and participate in training while supporting overall restaurant operations.

Job description
• Responsible for greeting guests and escorting guests to the dining and bar areas.
• Welcome guests to the venue and make sure guests have a positive experience from the momentthey arrive till their departure.
• To take names on a waiting list, provide accurate wait times and manage reservations.
• Answers incoming calls and queries concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Greet and seat guests, present menus, communicate menu items, promote dishes listed on menu and inform them on specials.
• Observe tables to keep a track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
• Ensure knowledge on menu items for both food and beverages items including but not limited to
allergies, side dishes and specialties of the day.
• Maintain a climate of friendly cooperation and guest satisfaction.
• Promote positive social media reviews such Trip Advisor, Google and Instagram.
• Maintain a clean reception area. Sweep foyer and front entrance area frequently.
• Perform rotation cleaning duties i.e. deep cleaning of assigned areas in accordance with schedule.
• Clean, organize and stock menus at host area.
• To participate in Training and Development programs offered by the organisation.
• Additional ad hoc duties as directed by Head of Department.
• Other duties as the Employer may deem fit during the Term of the Agreement.

Exigences professionnelles

• Fluent in English
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and staff.
• Excellent organizational abilities and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and friendly.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Problem-solving skills to handle guest complaints or requests.
• Knowledge of reservation systems or experience with managing a waitlist is a plus.
