The Digital Accelerator is the home of the Outliers - a team of people who are wired differently. We are anchored in Digital Incubator & Innovation unit in Global IT.



Our purpose is to a drive cultural change through partnering with the business to accelerate digital innovation. The job

As our new data engineer, you will be using your deep technical insight and understanding of data to support the continuous exploration and exposure of data in the development of digital solutions. You will be part of a SCRUM team and play a key role in ensuring the best design of our data infrastructure. An efficient DevOps setup is key; and you will be responsible for developing our current setup based on Azure DevOps within the team.



You will be responsible for writing and documenting code in several languages including SQL, R and Python to provide data connections and APIs for the digital solutions. With your broad knowledge of new and existing technologies you will ensure the team selects the right technology for each task. As we are pioneering the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk, we expect you to challenge and inspire the organisation as well as take part in establishing a strong internal community to share knowledge and learnings.

 

Qualifications

You have a master’s degree in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer science, Life sciences or equivalent. In addition, you have 3-5 years of experience with programming, data science/engineering and DevOps.

 

You have experience in data ingestion and processing by writing well performing and maintainable code in SQL, R and Python and you know how to get good performance from relational (and NOSQL) databases. You are also experienced in the setup and use of Azure DevOps or equivalent. Experience with Linux, R/Shiny, project coordination and technical writing is a plus.

 

You are eager to demonstrate how data can contribute to solving complex business challenges and you enjoy engaging with the team members with various competencies as well as internal stakeholders to shape the best solutions. We expect our new colleague to be a team player, curious, eager to learn and drive change. 

 

It is a plus if you have experience with integrating to various system of records within a corporate environment using different protocols, or have previous experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. pharma, aviation, oil & gas).
