For our construction department in Antwerpen we are currently looking for a

construction manager

who will have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management and coordination of construction for the project to ensure productivity, maintain schedule and safety

  • Develop the CM proposal sections and prepare CM budgets

  • Organize constructability meetings

  • Organize interactive planning sessions

  • Assist in preparing & reviewing subcontracts

  • Interview construction (sub)contractors

  • Assure strong HSE culture on the job sites

  • Develop Construction Management Plans (Project Execution Plans)

  • Coach and influence our discipline engineers and designers about construction related issues

  • Support the development of contingency and recovery plans as required; provide continuous improvement input and strategy development.

  • Develop procedures as needed and functions as liaison between multiple project managers, construction and contractors.

Qualifications

  • 10 years’ experience as a Construction Manager in an industrial organization is required

  • BS or MS degree is preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

  • Professional Engineering certification in related discipline is preferred

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
