We are looking for a skilled and service-minded seasonal chef to join our team at Hotell Tjamstan in Malå, northern Sweden. In this role, you will work in two different environments: our hotel restaurant and Laven, our restaurant located by the ski area. The position offers a varied and exciting workday where you will prepare and serve food for hotel guests, conference groups, skiers, and other visitors.
You will be part of a small and dedicated team where flexibility, cooperation, and quality are important. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic setting, can handle both à la carte and simpler service during busy periods, and wants to contribute to a positive guest experience. This is a seasonal position with the possibility to become a key member of our winter operation.
- Experience working as a chef or cook in a professional kitchen
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good organizational skills and ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
- Flexibility and willingness to work in two different kitchen environments: the hotel restaurant and Laven, our ski area restaurant
- A positive attitude and a strong service mindset
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to communicate in English; Swedish is an advantage but not required
- Relevant culinary education is an advantage, but practical experience is highly valued
It is an advantage if you have experience from hotel restaurants, ski resorts, or other seasonal destinations. Experience with à la carte, buffet, and high-paced service is also valuable. Swedish language skills are a plus, but not required. We also appreciate applicants who enjoy working in a close-knit team and are interested in life in northern Sweden.
Previous experience from Nordic destinations or winter tourism is an advantage.
