The Sous Chef is the Executive Chef's right-hand, helping to maintain and elevate the standards of excellence at La Taverna. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional, skilled in coordinating the team and capable of interpreting Tuscan tradition with a contemporary twist, ensuring a high-quality culinary experience.

Job requirements
  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing and coordinating the kitchen team;
  • Be responsible for a specific match, ensuring its preparation and impeccable execution;
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and the Executive Chef's directives;
  • Interpreting Tuscan cuisine, enhancing its traditional flavors with a touch of elegance and innovation;
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP regulations, food safety and allergens;
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and the restaurant's management to promote sustainable practices in the kitchen;
  • Aesthetic skills in plating and decorating dishes;
  • Basic food cost management;
  • Manage food storage and ensure proper stock rotation to prevent waste.
Nice to have
  • Solid previous experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in high-end restaurant settings, preferably in gourmet restaurants or luxury resorts;
  • Reliability and accuracy;
  • A strong sense of ethics, responsibility, and dedication to high standards of service;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently;
  • Team working spirit;
  • Passion and curiosity for innovation in the kitchen, openness to discussion, learning and continuous improvement;
