Key responsibilities
- Design, analyse and implement efficient IT systems (inc. overseeing system upgrades)
- Prevent technological debt
- Provide 2nd line support and CSI activities
- Identify problems and opportunities within Hempel and provide Digital solutions in line with overall Hempel strategy and Enterprise Architecture guidelines.
- Assist on development of Features and User Stories with business stakeholders
Key tasks
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their issues and requirements
- Develop and analyze functional specifications
- Coordinate with developers to build and implement technology solutions
- Integrate multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams
- Gather feedback from end users about system performance and adjust accordingly
- Analyse ticket trends to identify areas of improvement
- Plan and oversee projects (e.g. upgrades, hardware/software installations)
- Drive decommissioning of not used tools and applications
- Provide advice and technical training
- Keep abreast of technology trends and developments
- Facilitate hand over acceptance test and user acceptance testing of deliveries
Required education, experience and job-related skills
- An academic background within the field of Information Technology
- At least 2-5 years experience as an IT Supporter, IT Analyst, IT Consultant or similar role
- Good understanding of software architecture, design principles and integrations patterns
- Knowledge of databases, system security and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of business processes
- Experience working with ITIL, ServiceNow (or similar tool) and continual improvement
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and process excellence
- Experience working in an international environment with teams and stakeholders in multiple locations and time zones
- Experience with Commercial applications such as D365 CE and/or eCommerce would be an advantage
- Experience with Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing preferred
- Fluent in English, verbal and in writing
